The Walgreens Boots Alliance is the parent company of Walgreens, with the headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois. They own Walgreens, Boots, and other pharmaceutical manufacturing and wholesale companies, as well as distribution organizations. This company was formed in 2014, after Walgreens purchased the Alliance Boots company with a 55 percent stake in addition to what they already owned. The total price of the acquisition was $4.9 billion.
